Dona Maria Red Alentejo

Description

Dona Maria hails from the 150 year old Herdade das Carvalhas winery, a benchmark estate for the region.  Warm climate, abundant sunshine and ideal soils produce red wines of weight, texture and fruit intensity.  Complex red berries, toasted, with suggestions of over ripe plums. Rich red berry flavour with great persistence, balanced, rounded and with a good structure that will allow it to age well.
